Really enjoyed our experience here. We went in the morning and had such a nice, chilled vibe. The staff were really friendly and it was easy to find. Had our own sauna which was nice and their setup is very good for lots of people with multiple cold dips, hot tubs and saunas. We will visit again next time we’re in town.

Super friendly staff. Booked for the thu and decided we'd like the wed instead. Called up and was changed over. No problem. Great session in hot tubs, cold plunge and sauna. Everything was explained well and clearly. The whole area was clean. The Drinks weren't overpriced. We were in the evening. The sun was setting and it was beautiful.

We had a lovely time but it is a bit of a crafty homemade vibe. I would recommend bringing your own slippers! For two people the price felt a bit high for what it is, but for a bigger group it would make much more sense

Evidence & context

What research says about cold therapy

Recovery

Reviews of whole-body cold therapy mostly show effects on perceived muscle soreness and recovery after intense exercise. The evidence base is heterogeneous and samples are often small.

Research base

Studies describe short-term effects on pain perception and mobility. Results are inconsistent and robust long-term data is largely missing — a therapeutic benefit is not established.

Limitations

Cold therapy does not replace medical treatment. Effect, dosage and frequency vary individually — pre-existing conditions require medical clearance beforehand.
