Had an amazing session at Brysk with the extremely knowledgable Nathan. I did a session consisting of 15 mins red light therapy, 45 mins of compression therapy and 3 mins cryotherapy. Firstly, Nathan’s knowledge and science backed research immediately put my mind at ease. He has an incredible wealth of experience and science backed knowledge that really helps everyone get the maximum benefit out of each session. From pressure to fan speeds, Nathan is your guy to guide you along the way for your recovery. I honestly couldn’t praise him and the amazing top of the range space. It’s extremely clean, calm and has a great premium feel. Thank you Nathan, I will be back at some point when I’m in Manchester I’m sure.

My husband and I had a fantastic experience at Brysk. All the facilities are extremely modern and spotlessly clean. We had private use of the facilities for the hour we were there which provided a relaxing and personal feel rather than having multiple other people coming and going. Chris was amazing, such a welcoming and knowledgeable guy who cares passionately about providing good advice and services to people. We used the red light therapy, cryotherapy and compression boots and enjoyed all of them. Would recommend visiting here solo, as couples, friends or with family it’s a great experience!

Had an amazing experience at Brysk today. Huge thanks to Chris and Nathan, they were super friendly and I actually learned a lot from them during my session. I did the red light therapy, cryotherapy, and compression boots; the whole process was as interesting as it was effective. Left feeling refreshed and much more informed!

Evidence & context

What research says about cold therapy

Recovery

Reviews of whole-body cold therapy mostly show effects on perceived muscle soreness and recovery after intense exercise. The evidence base is heterogeneous and samples are often small.

Research base

Studies describe short-term effects on pain perception and mobility. Results are inconsistent and robust long-term data is largely missing — a therapeutic benefit is not established.

Limitations

Cold therapy does not replace medical treatment. Effect, dosage and frequency vary individually — pre-existing conditions require medical clearance beforehand.
