Yes, a cold chamber is cold! But it's only for a very short time... ;-))) And for anyone who understands that cold showers and ice bathing are healthy, but isn't quite brave enough for it, this is the perfect place to do something for their health. Rarely in my life have I been so awake and so full of energy as in the moment I stepped out of this cold chamber here in Lichtenberg. It's a wonderful experience to see how our body reacts to such extreme situations. I can only recommend the cold chamber at Pro-Citare Physiotherapy. You'll have a wonderfully exciting experience with yourself and your body here. Yes, you are definitely doing something good for your body! Thanks for…

Sauna never convinced me, but I find the cold chamber really cool. All in all, there are three chambers, so the cold gradually increases. Trying -110 degrees was a real test of courage for me. So that I could share the experience with my daughter, I practiced alone once beforehand. The feeling afterwards is pure bliss, and I find visiting the cold chamber particularly great when it's over 30 degrees outside and the cold I took with me completely relaxes me. Definitely try it! I am addicted.

I have already recommended the cold chamber to several friends and acquaintances: they use it for pain therapy and, in the best case, for their own conditioning. They all report a technically absolutely high-quality facility, very friendly and competent staff, and last but not least, perfect experiences, recurring health successes, pain relief, and pain prevention. Under these aspects, the Kältekammer Berlin is absolutely recommendable to everyone.

Evidence & context

What research says about cold therapy

Recovery

Reviews of whole-body cold therapy mostly show effects on perceived muscle soreness and recovery after intense exercise. The evidence base is heterogeneous and samples are often small.

Research base

Studies describe short-term effects on pain perception and mobility. Results are inconsistent and robust long-term data is largely missing — a therapeutic benefit is not established.

Limitations

Cold therapy does not replace medical treatment. Effect, dosage and frequency vary individually — pre-existing conditions require medical clearance beforehand.
