“It was a great ice bath experience! Alejandro is very passionate about it, puts a lot of effort in explaining everything in detail and makes you feel at ease! I really liked the personal part of the experience and the place itself is very cute! Would definitely recommend it!”
“amazing experience! this was my first ice bath and i was incredibly lucky to find Riviera Frost. Alex is a true professional who takes his job seriously and with all his heart. you can be sure that you will get everything and even more than you expected. highly recommended”
“My buddy found this place in Playa Del Carmen and booked it for us. I’ll be honest at first I was a little bit taken back because it’s tucked away in a residential area. However, once you get in, you’ll see the guy who runs it is a good person. This was my first ice bath, and I found it pretty easy to do. Cold… but I really enjoyed it. After I came out my body felt incredible. All my aches were gone and my energy was at 100%. I’m thankful that I went and I am very happy and confident to give this place a legit five stars.”

Evidence & context
What research says about cold therapy
Recovery
Reviews of whole-body cold therapy mostly show effects on perceived muscle soreness and recovery after intense exercise. The evidence base is heterogeneous and samples are often small.
Research base
Studies describe short-term effects on pain perception and mobility. Results are inconsistent and robust long-term data is largely missing — a therapeutic benefit is not established.
Limitations
Cold therapy does not replace medical treatment. Effect, dosage and frequency vary individually — pre-existing conditions require medical clearance beforehand.
