We'd been thinking about getting a cold plunge for a few years, and after reading many reviews and doing all the research we went with Eternal Ice Bath. In the end, it was really a no-brainer: it's one of the only (if not only) ice baths that can survive a cold winter in our snowy mountains of the Sierra Nevada, the chiller is powerful and efficient, and the customer service has been amazing. We love supporting smaller companies, and the way this company backs their product and supports their customers with quick responses and information makes you feel like you're dealing with a big team. The co-founder, Guillaume, has been especially pleasant to work with. I've recommended Eternal Bath to others interested in getting an ice bath, and feel like it probably outperforms many higher priced baths on the market. We've been using it 3-4 times a week for about 5 months now and couldn't be happier. Wife absolutely loves it!

Great customer service, ice bath showed up on the west coast in a good amount of time. The stairs are a must for the ultimate, love the seat on the inside. The unit retains the temp quite well even in plus 20 degree C weather! Highly recommend!

I bought an ice bath before winter 2025, and absolutely love it! The bath is sturdy, strong, stable, and maintains its temperature really well here in the snow belt in Ontario - I used an ice melter for surface ice less than 5 x over the duration of the winter. I will be purchasing the chiller so I can continue using the bath throughout the crazy summer. Staff with this company were super helpful and very patiently answered my many questions about the bath before I purchased. I can't recommend this ice bath enough!

Evidence & context

What research says about cold therapy

Recovery

Reviews of whole-body cold therapy mostly show effects on perceived muscle soreness and recovery after intense exercise. The evidence base is heterogeneous and samples are often small.

Research base

Studies describe short-term effects on pain perception and mobility. Results are inconsistent and robust long-term data is largely missing — a therapeutic benefit is not established.

Limitations

Cold therapy does not replace medical treatment. Effect, dosage and frequency vary individually — pre-existing conditions require medical clearance beforehand.
