Amazing experience. I feel like I found a hidden gem in Reykjavik. The day pass is very reasonably priced considering all it includes. The gym is one of the nicest gyms I've ever been to with every piece of equipment you could possibly need. The spa is so nice. I wish I had gotten here early enough or booked ahead for a full body massage as they were already fully booked by noon when I got there but the rest of the spa was totally worth it. The steam room and hot tub were my favorite. I spent 4 hours here and easily could have stayed longer. My panini at the spa restaurant was also delicious. Will definitely make a trip here again.

Had a wonderful couple massage yesterday at Laugar Spa. Afterwards we’ve got a complimentary entrance to the Spa area. I liked mint steam sauna the most. It is very convenient that they have restaurant inside of the spa. Food was delicious

Really reccomend couples massage and be early to enter the spa treat with 5000 saunas and the best Infared Sauna in Iceland. The ice cold plunge bath has sea water which is fantastic for your health.

Evidence & context

What research says about cold therapy

Recovery

Reviews of whole-body cold therapy mostly show effects on perceived muscle soreness and recovery after intense exercise. The evidence base is heterogeneous and samples are often small.

Research base

Studies describe short-term effects on pain perception and mobility. Results are inconsistent and robust long-term data is largely missing — a therapeutic benefit is not established.

Limitations

Cold therapy does not replace medical treatment. Effect, dosage and frequency vary individually — pre-existing conditions require medical clearance beforehand.
