I had a wonderful experience with the lovely Issy . I was trying to book online when she called me and asked if I was having trouble booking . I ended up there and had the red light therapy which she made a great experience from start to finish. Lovely staff indeed! I will return for sure because of this experience.

I had a wonderful first experience at Element Health Optimisation Centre for the Theta Chamber and Red Light Therapy. Rebecca was warm, caring, and took the time to explain everything, making me feel completely at ease. The centre has a calm, relaxing atmosphere, and I left feeling refreshed and recharged. Highly recommend for anyone looking to support their health and wellbeing!

I was referred to Element Health Centre to experience sessions in the Infrared Sauna Cocoon primarily to relieve severe back pain and contribute to healing. The staff were very kind, caring and helpful in providing a relaxed, nurturing environment and establishing the best financial option for me to attend the required sessions. I highly recommend attending Element as they are definitely equipped with the best ‘cutting edge’ medical treatments where after every Infrared Sauna experience I am able to leave not only free from pain but able to pursue and enjoy life at a more elevated level of being. Thank you very much Ellen, and to all of the Element team.

Evidence & context

What research says about cold therapy

Recovery

Reviews of whole-body cold therapy mostly show effects on perceived muscle soreness and recovery after intense exercise. The evidence base is heterogeneous and samples are often small.

Research base

Studies describe short-term effects on pain perception and mobility. Results are inconsistent and robust long-term data is largely missing — a therapeutic benefit is not established.

Limitations

Cold therapy does not replace medical treatment. Effect, dosage and frequency vary individually — pre-existing conditions require medical clearance beforehand.
