Calm atmosphere but also calm staff! I went to celebrate Juneteenth and have some time to reset my nervous system. The person staffed that night had such a calming voice and presence. I wish I would have planned to come much earlier so I could have utilized the common spaces. My motto is if the plants are thriving, the vibes are good, and both are true for this spot!

My first session at Float was a 30min infrared sauna experience. I absolutely LOVED it! My guide was so kind and flipped the room early for me! They walked me through the experience and made sure I was comfortable before starting my session. The sauna felt amazing and there was a bottle of ice cold water waiting for me when I was done! 10/10 experience and I look forward to more sauna sessions and other services at FLOAT!

The staff is what makes this place that much more enjoyable! Everyone is so kind and chill. Perfect mood to share before a float. Also, Gavin is such a joy and lets me rant about my trips to Italy each time he’s there. lol! I appreciate him and this place so much, along with all the other wonderful employees.

Evidence & context

What research says about cold therapy

Reviews of whole-body cold therapy mostly show effects on perceived muscle soreness and recovery after intense exercise. The evidence base is heterogeneous and samples are often small.

Research base

Studies describe short-term effects on pain perception and mobility. Results are inconsistent and robust long-term data is largely missing — a therapeutic benefit is not established.

Limitations
