“I was diagnosed with wear and tear in my lower back 5-10yrs ago by NHS, pain getting worse so went to visit MC. First time I have ever been to a Chiropractor so was nervous. Met lovely Lauren at reception, beautiful lady, As soon as I walked in the door I was made to feel very welcome and less nervous just with chatting to Lauren. Next I met the best Chiropractor there is, Javier, had a consultation which was very thorough, I then went for x-ray which I have never had for my back so was getting excited to find out what was going on. Next, consultation and treatment with Javier, He showed me my xrays and was very clear in explaining what was wrong with my back, I do not have wear and tear, Jarvier said I had a beautiful Spine, it’s one of my vertebrae that is causing the issue, which is minor, I have had two Appointments with Jarvie and already feel a great deal of difference, my back was looser and not knotted as it was before. I. still have pains but the improvement has made me so happy as this has been ongoing for a long time. I will still have several more visits with Jarvie as I believe I will see more improvement through time. Sorry for the long post but the staff at Maple clinic are fantastic and very professional. I highly recommend a visit to them if you have any aches or pins. Wish I had done this sooner. Prices are also affordable so please get yourself to maple clinics and hopefully get some relief and be in less pain. Thankyou MC xxx”
“I was an operational Firefighter for 29 years. I retired 9 years ago and at that time was informed that I had early onset Parkinson's. As I'm sure you can imagine it was quite a blow for myself and my family. One of my symptoms was a tightening of the back muscles, especially down the right hand side. I was encouraged to try and get help in your clinic and as a result of this I have found that I have come into contact with some really professional, caring people. The young man Cameron has been incredibly helpful with loosening up my back and he seems to hit the spot every time I attend the clinic. Cameron releases lots of tension and my back has stopped going into spasm since I have been getting treated. I find his manner and demeanour as being very positive. He's an asset to your company and I hope you appreciate him. Of course my experience with the company starts the minute I come through the front door. Cameron's colleagues at the reception are the first port of call. They are always amenable, professional and polite and never anything other than interested in how your day has been. They project a very positive image for your company. I even like the music they play in reception. Thank you for taking time to read these comments. I know we all have things to moan about in life but I think it's nice to give credit where credits due.”
“Friendly, helpful staff, clinic clean, bright and welcoming, attending for sports therapy massage with Cammy, without it I wouldn’t be back at work or have been able to take part in my dance show, every visit I come out feeling more supple and way less stiff than when I went in. Also got a programme if supportive exercises to compliment my treatment. Prices are affordable and staff knowledgeable and professional. Highly recommend, Helen, Hamilton”

Evidence & context
What research says about cold therapy
Recovery
Reviews of whole-body cold therapy mostly show effects on perceived muscle soreness and recovery after intense exercise. The evidence base is heterogeneous and samples are often small.
Research base
Studies describe short-term effects on pain perception and mobility. Results are inconsistent and robust long-term data is largely missing — a therapeutic benefit is not established.
Limitations
Cold therapy does not replace medical treatment. Effect, dosage and frequency vary individually — pre-existing conditions require medical clearance beforehand.
