“This felt like a very authentic Lithuanian experience. You pay by the hour at reception, the lady doesn’t speak much English but is very friendly. Go and get undressed, no shorts allowed. Lockers are spacious and the whole place feels very secure. Walk through to the shower area and have a shower before picking up your wooden mat to sit on in the sauna, donning your sauna hat if you have one (everybody else did!) and go and join the rest of the people in the sauna. We found it to be hotter than others that we had tried in Finland and Sweden. There are some excellent cold plunge pools. It is good etiquette to have a shower after you come out of the sauna before going into a plunge pool. At the end, you should rinse your wooden mat off in the chlorinated bath which is next to the sinks. We felt extremely relaxed after this experience. Not least because there was a bar with very reasonably priced beer, on draught or bottled, or soft drinks available. Payment for the bar is taken from your wristband, which is very convenient. You then pay your bill before you leave.”
“3 mates from UK receptionist doesnt speak english but was able to use google translate 14 euro for 2 hours good orice....Locals were nice told us no swimming trunks allowed have to go in naked into the traditional brick Sauna or alternatively can use a towel...great experience very similar to Sanduny in Moscow”
“We went here as 6 guys from Scotland and had no idea what to expect. We learned pretty quickly after being shouted at by some old Lithuania men which seemed scary at first but turned out we were not doing things correctly. Firstly, you go in naked, absolutely no shorts on in the sauna area but you can wear them in the ‘social’ area. The woman at the desk didn’t speak any English so try get some translate up on your phone to give her an idea of what you want. Also, make sure and grab one of the wooden seats near the sauna door before you go in to sit on. Once we figured all this out, we had a great experience. The sauna was HOT but felt very good and was nice to go outside and cool down. The place had a bar where you could get drinks too. Apart from the confusion at the start of our experience, we had a great time and would definitely visit again. Good way to experience the local culture. Everyone was friendly once we got naked.”
