This is perhaps the worst place I've ever been for a massage. The massage beds are broken, which can hurt you even more. The lighting in the "cabin" is like an operating room. The staff is incredibly friendly and they know that neither the beds nor the lighting work, but their response is that the owners know and do nothing about it. The cabin offers no privacy other than a curtain that opens. You can hear the noise from the gym next door.

The bathrooms flood every time I go. They need to fix the doors; a drain was clogged and the whole floor was flooded. There isn't even a stool to put my suitcase on in the shower, and then everything gets wet.

Overall, a very bad experience. The staff was extremely unfriendly. I went for a sauna and cold plunge session, and the place left much to be desired. There's no comfortable space to leave your belongings and change; you have to leave everything on the floor. The shower in the sauna room doesn't have hot water, and it leaks throughout the room. While we were in the tubs, maintenance staff were constantly going in and out of the room, disregarding our privacy and our relaxation time. A very, very bad experience.

Evidence & context

What research says about cold therapy

Recovery

Reviews of whole-body cold therapy mostly show effects on perceived muscle soreness and recovery after intense exercise. The evidence base is heterogeneous and samples are often small.

Research base

Studies describe short-term effects on pain perception and mobility. Results are inconsistent and robust long-term data is largely missing — a therapeutic benefit is not established.

Limitations

Cold therapy does not replace medical treatment. Effect, dosage and frequency vary individually — pre-existing conditions require medical clearance beforehand.
