I’ve had now two facials at Coldwater to prepare for my wedding, and I can’t recommend them enough. Both aestheticians were so kind, walked me through what they were doing, and thoughtfully listened to my goals. While products were recommended, there was no pressure to purchase them at all. I purchased the serum and moisturizer they recommended and my skin has never looked better. Thank you so much I’m so grateful

This place is so wonderful and I can’t recommend it enough. The treatment space itself is bright, clean and open. I had my best facial ever with Caitlin. She was very warm and welcoming and I can tell she loves what she does. The facial itself had so many different steps and treatments I lost count. There was a lot of perfectly relaxing massage included, and a bright light therapy under a hood to finish off. It was 75 minutes of total bliss and my face looks brighter and more hydrated. I will definitely be back!

Lauren was amazing during my spray tan. I felt so comfortable and she gave great instructions. My tan was so even and people keep asking if I have just gotten back from holiday! The colour she recommended was perfect. The space is beautifully designed and it really felt like a treat for myself. Will definitely be back.

Evidence & context

What research says about cold therapy

Recovery

Reviews of whole-body cold therapy mostly show effects on perceived muscle soreness and recovery after intense exercise. The evidence base is heterogeneous and samples are often small.

Research base

Studies describe short-term effects on pain perception and mobility. Results are inconsistent and robust long-term data is largely missing — a therapeutic benefit is not established.

Limitations

Cold therapy does not replace medical treatment. Effect, dosage and frequency vary individually — pre-existing conditions require medical clearance beforehand.
