Ice Bath Manila has been both my happy place and sanctuary since I discovered it. Ive tried the ice bath & hot tub as a single session but what elevates the experience to a level that you would never thought your body could experience is the full recovery combining all 3: hot tub, ice bath with legs + arms compression.. the whole suite! After my first full recovery session, I knew I needed to have it at least once every month. It is very theraputic and healing that really helps with your overall wellness and full recovery after work out sessions or even just when you want to relax and unwind. Their coaches, Coach Niño & Coach Julian are very professional and will guide you all throughout your sessions and are very accomodating with any questions you may have. From the initial inquriy, the experience was exceptional, their reception staff, Lei & Trish are very responsive and are very thorough in providing all the information you will need. The vibe in the place is an absolute mood maker with the best playlist on the background while you are in session, that musical vibe touch makes the place a overall recovery haven. They are very knowledgeable to which program or package will be beneficial to you based on your goals & objectives for availing what Ice Bath Manila can offer. The owner, Coleen, is a boss lady in its truest sense. She is very warm, welcoming and always makes sure to check in with the clients on their satisfaction with the sessions as well as boosts your mood the minute you step in. The warm furry welcome greeting of Naya and Fely, are the best to put you in an absolute natural high before your session even starts. Whether you want to cool off or go for a hot dip, Ice Bath Manila is the place that can provide you the recovery, rejuvination and relaxation your body needs. Once you discover what it can do for you and your body, you will surely want to keep coming back for your regular sessions.

I recently visited Ice Bath Manila, and it was an incredible experience! From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and the coaches guided me through the process, making sure I was comfortable and prepared for the ice bath. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and has a relaxing atmosphere. The cold plunge was intense but extremely refreshing—I could feel the muscle tension melting away. After just a few minutes, I felt more energized, focused, and rejuvenated. The infrared sauna was the perfect follow-up, helping me fully relax and recover. As someone who works out regularly, this session really helped with muscle soreness and inflammation. I also appreciated that they offer compression therapy and a jacuzzi for a complete recovery experience. Overall, Ice Bath Manila is a must-visit for athletes, fitness enthusiasts, or anyone looking to improve their recovery and well-being. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We went here for a recovery session after my husband finished his ultramarathon. They have a mini sauna, 4 tubs for ice bath, 2 recliners for compression (I think?) and a shower area. They offer shower towels for 50php. As per my husband, his experience was great. After his session, his pains were gone immediately.

Evidence & context

What research says about cold therapy

Recovery

Reviews of whole-body cold therapy mostly show effects on perceived muscle soreness and recovery after intense exercise. The evidence base is heterogeneous and samples are often small.

Research base

Studies describe short-term effects on pain perception and mobility. Results are inconsistent and robust long-term data is largely missing — a therapeutic benefit is not established.

Limitations

Cold therapy does not replace medical treatment. Effect, dosage and frequency vary individually — pre-existing conditions require medical clearance beforehand.
