Beautiful studio, unique aesthetic, and still feels very down-to-earth even though it's so stylish! Great facilities and love that you can shower and get on with your day after the session. Shout out to the friendly staff :))

Angus and David were such lovely hosts! Fantastic space, super relaxing and lovely natural light through the private window leading onto the main room. It was lovely to be able to have a shower and wash and dry my hair afterwards with the soaps etc that were available and the hairdryer with the diffuser. It was welcoming and the other people at the sauna were super friendly. I loved it so much I came two days in a row. Would absolutely recommend

Evidence & context

What research says about cold therapy

Recovery

Reviews of whole-body cold therapy mostly show effects on perceived muscle soreness and recovery after intense exercise. The evidence base is heterogeneous and samples are often small.

Research base

Studies describe short-term effects on pain perception and mobility. Results are inconsistent and robust long-term data is largely missing — a therapeutic benefit is not established.

Limitations

Cold therapy does not replace medical treatment. Effect, dosage and frequency vary individually — pre-existing conditions require medical clearance beforehand.
