The great advantage of this cold chamber is that the entire body is inside the cold chamber. With other providers, the head and neck are not in the cold environment (this is sometimes the case with devices up to -130 degrees), which is why the desired effect of hormone release is significantly greater with this cold chamber. I can warmly, or rather, coldly, and unreservedly recommend the Cryomed-Center. I use the service to alleviate the symptoms of a rheumatic autoimmune disease.

Upon my first visit to the Cryomed Center this week, I was so impressed by the excellent cryotherapy and the impeccably clean environment that I easily and immediately booked a second appointment. The professional care and comprehensive introduction to the treatment process ensured my well-being and safety, which made the session particularly effective and refreshing.

Friendly and competent. Great service. Always a pleasant interaction. Cold chamber "only" -87 degrees. But that's why I also tried -110. Conclusion: No difference. Appointments and adjustments are always possible, quick and easy.

Evidence & context

What research says about cold therapy

Recovery

Reviews of whole-body cold therapy mostly show effects on perceived muscle soreness and recovery after intense exercise. The evidence base is heterogeneous and samples are often small.

Research base

Studies describe short-term effects on pain perception and mobility. Results are inconsistent and robust long-term data is largely missing — a therapeutic benefit is not established.

Limitations

Cold therapy does not replace medical treatment. Effect, dosage and frequency vary individually — pre-existing conditions require medical clearance beforehand.
